Livro: Horizontes da Ciência da Informação (PGCIN-UFSC)

The Graduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Santa Catarina proudly presents its latest publication: HORIZONS of Information Science: research developed by the Graduate Program in Information Science at UFSC.
This book aims to broaden the reach of the program graduates’ research, making the results accessible to a wider audience, including other researchers, professionals in the field, and interested students. This initiative contributes to democratizing knowledge and enhances society’s access to science. The publication of this book also serves to recognize and value the work of Information Science researchers trained at PGCIN – UFSC and reinforces the program’s reputation as a leading course in Information Science.

I Seminary for Graduates of the Postgraduate Program in Information Science
The Coordination, together with the full collegiate of PGCIN professors, invites you to participate in the 1st seminar for Graduates of the Postgraduate Program in Information Science/UFSC:
“Information Science for the Benefit of Brazilian Society”.
The objective of the event is to present and highlight the research carried out by students trained at PGCIN. Much of the research developed once deposited in the repository was not properly disseminated for the benefit of society.
In order to allow the population to learn about the research carried out by researchers and information scientists, this Seminar was designed.
Submissions will be accepted from:

The abstracts will be published and made available in the Event Proceedings format
The videos will be made available on the program’s YouTube channel and disseminated through PGCIN’s social networks
Important dates:Receipt of works until February 23, 2024
Presentation of work submitted on March 25, 2024
Publication of the Annals until June 1, 2024
At the beginning of February 2024, we will send all participants more information about the schedule of the 1st seminar for Graduates of the Postgraduate Program in Information Science “The Science of Information for the Benefit of Brazilian Society”. -
